Mahogany China Cabinet, **SOLD**
This vintage mahogany china cabinet has been repaired, refreshed and is ready for a new home. When I got it from Community Forklift last year I was drawn by its compact size. This will fit nicely into small spaces and not overpower your floorplan.
It can also serve a variety of purposes. Yes, it could display china or crystal, but its glass doors and beautiful solid mahogany shelves are perfect for displaying beloved art objects, framed photographs, or treasured books.
If you like to host parties this is the perfect bar unit. The bottom area can store cases of wine, the smoothly operated dovetailed drawer can hold barware accessories, and the shelving is ideal to display your glassware and top-shelf liquors.
Forsaken booze? Covert the unit into a coffee bar: easily removing 8 screws & take off the glass doors; remove the pegs holding one shelf, then load your espresso & coffee makers, French presses, & related accessories—Voila! Custom coffee station.
Why did I paint this piece? While this is vintage mahogany, it is not a fine antique. It needed complete refinishing. I first had to repair and replace broken parts. I then couldn’t afford more time to refinish a piece where in today’s marketplace even beautifully refinished natural wood furniture can languish unsold (ask me how I know!). This is now a solid piece of sharp-looking painted furniture that many people can envision in their home. I hope it’s you!
