Launching my business in 2021…

 Meet Mark C. Holliday

My story

I love rescuing old things. When I was 12, I found a small abandoned wooden boat awash in the waves. It was the first of many project boats to adorn my mother’s back yard. I’ve since used my brains behind a desk as a Ph.D. marine biologist to feed my family for four decades, but using my hands to create and build has always been my passion. I’ve needed that in abundance, as this January marks 30 years of loving hands-on care for the 127 year-old Queen Anne Victorian house my wife and I restored and raised our two kids in.

Now my mission is narrowed to rescuing, repairing and restoring vintage furniture. I find, or sometimes buy, only those pieces that appeal to me aesthetically, which may have something wrong with them, and/or that will challenge me to fix or reinvent them in a new way.

Breathing new life into quality furniture. Keeping stuff out of our landfills. Sharing history with another generation. What could be a better business model than that?

I hope you find something here that you want to have in your home. Let me know what piece appeals to you the most. - MCH

My philosophy

My mission is to rescue, repair and restore vintage furniture, skillfully keeping them out of landfills and passing them forward to another generation.
